Lunev Ruslan Vladimirovich was born in 1989 in Baku. Ruslan Lunev started his professional sports career in 2002. He has been participating in competitions since 2006.
In 2007, Ruslan Lunev took first place in the youth championship of Azerbaijan with 383 points and set a new country record.
In 2010 he won the superfinal of the international tournament "Olden Cup", held in Norway.
Winner of the Shota Kveliashvili Cup, held in Georgia in 2013.
In 2015 he participated in the World Championship held in America and Munich.
In 2016, Ruslan Lunev was awarded the "WILD CARD" from the International Sport Shooting Federation.
In 2017, Lunev won a bronze medal in 25m speed shooting at the World Championships in Delhi.
In 2017, he won 5 gold medals at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku. This is the best indicator among all participants. At the end of the same year, he took 4th place among 80 athletes at the World Cup Final, where only the strongest shooters participated.
In June 2018, Ruslan became the World Champion among military personnel in Thun, Switzerland. According to the results of 4 days of competition, he was recognized as the best shooter of the championship. At the World Championship held in Changwon (Korea), Ruslan took 5th place among 115 participants in air pistol shooting.
Our shooter, who won the European Cup final in Lisbon in October 2018, became the European champion in Bologna in September 2019 and won the license for the Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo. In October of the same year, he won the European Cup final held in Château, France.
